organize my email

It seems that technology is overwhelming me.
The world tries to make itself more efficient > the more complicated things become for me….

Email is a great thing indeed.
I once had 7 email addresses so I obviously like it enough;)

All the spam, forwards, delivery confirmations, etc. are making my life extremely difficult!
I am down to 2 accounts –
- business/personal
- junk

I only check the first one regularly. (And it is also sent to my Blackberry). So why do I turn around and have 562 messages in my inbox – argh!

I need to:
-remove myself from mailing lists
-put forwards in a folder so perhaps if I have time…
-figure out this delivery confirmation mode on Blackberry

How clean my inboxes look now!

One account to go. I also think I have developed an easy system to keep my inbox tidy in the future. Will see how it goes. Looking through old emails brought up a whole pile of feelings, some not so good about things I’ve done in the past, time to move on though.

I’ve made this my new challenge in order to ditch it from my list. Bring on the tidy email accounts.

Part of general New Year clean up. It’s been a few years and I know there is alot of junk lurking in my inbox.

it spoils you..bc you don’t have to organize. i got roughly 2500 emails in the inbox alone. the rest (probably less than a 100) are archived. i’m starting to take advantage of the labelling and trying to archive more. there are so many that i simply put it aside becase you can just search your email for whatever, which makes it so easy to just leave it as is!

Have that message in my campus email account
Its a work in progress but for now I’ve caught up with the back log and have to file away email as soon as I read it as I read it.
Maybe I should cut down on number of email accounts as well
but for now they help me keep the different selfs apart.
Work email for work, spam email for spam and personal email address for close friends, common email address for… and so on.

I read all of them but up until today haven’t been able to file them away quicker than I receive them.
Small victory as things progress I may find I’m loosing my battle against emails
besides still have to sort personal emails (and job offers etc.)
but I’ll get to that later for now I think I’m good

It’s gotten to a point where I’m encouraging people to call or use IM rather than emailing me (at work).
I am sure I can get a handle on this just need the down time to do it.

I’ve to get them cleared by the end of the week.
