have more flying dreams

i’ve been trying to practice lucid dreaming on a regular basis…it’s not always easy, but the first thing i ALWAYS do when i get there is fly…or float…or whatever you really want to call it…

i had great success with this the other night :) in the dream i closed my eyes and floated and did in the air somersaults and all and all had an amazing time

that flying dreams are a form of astral travel, where you leave your body and travel all over. There is even the story of someone who was trained to astral travel and left his body, shot up into the atmosphere, and then bumped into a UFO. He actually rocked the craft and the occupants inside telepathically told him, “My god, why don’t you watch where you are going?” I am going to try that tonite when I go to sleep.

in a few years. Don’t know what triggers them. Maybe pepperoni pizza? I always have colorful dreams when I eat pizza late at nite and I don’t do that at all anymore since I don’t like to be digesting when I sleep.

i essentially dreamt i was some kind of incarnation of peter pan last night…i embodied the spirit and even felt the rush of being a teenage boy on top of being able to fly like the dickens

i remember that there was another flying figure in the dream…maybe my elder? but at one point i was dared to swoop down from on high and rush headfirst towards a dormant volcano…i guess there was a ledgend that i managed to stop RIGHT before i hit the mouth of the volcano…in the dream i feel like i may have chickened out a little and i think i stopped a little short

i twirled and played in the air and eventually flew to another volcano, this one quite active, spewing beautiful streams of lava very high into the air…i got close to the volcano and noticed that on the side there was a window IN…i saw people (somewhat smoky in the face) all smiling and chatting at tables…but how to get in?? two of my friends had already made it and the whole outside of this place was scalding hot…to be honest, i don’t remember exactly how i made it in, but i did…the place was a small cake restaurant…i ordered two pieces of yummy cake and we all sat down at a table…one of my friends (from massage class) decided it would be funny to steal the bathroom keys so that people could not get out of the potties once they were in…i thought it was kind of mean, and in the end, someone that looked surprisingly like phil hartman (in sleeze mode) dropped a key near me and was like “oh look who found the key!” when the doors to the bathrooms opened, a bunch of old people staggered out, the smell overpowering them…i debated whether or not to get one more slice of cake, but instead stole a few bites of a piece no one had consumed. and i remember it was really really tasty

i had another flying dream last night that essentially involved me becoming an eagle, or at least trying to mimic how eagles fly

usually when i fly in dreams, i use a swimming motion to push myself through space

this time, i flapped my arms and did some kind of dipping motion with my head, which in the dream i thought was exactly how eagles fly…i gained some good velocity, flying over emerald green forests

i had a flying/floating dream a few days ago, actually

i was hovering towards the top of some sock rack to get some free socks…

i LOVE flying in dreams…it’s as close as i usually get to lucid dreaming, and i always wake up smiling afterwards
