I’ve managed one 24min run-walk without flaring up the knee tendonitis so now will aim to slowly get back to around 24km per week running
How to run 3 times a week
How I did it: i made a running route that went past like 3 of my friends houses so every time i ran i would stop and say hi to my friends which kinda gave me motivation to run. and if i didnt want to run at all i would think about something that makes me really mad and that would motivate me.
Lessons & tips: run in the morning before the sun rises or at night, because it keeps you cooler and i personally love being outside when its dark.
Resources: ipod, green tea.

I’m not thinking anything too hardcore here, mostly I just want to get into the habit of regular exercise, and learn to run 10km a little faster than I have been.
Medium-term Goal:
*4-6km during the work week (x2)
*8-10km on the weekends (x1)
I’m not exactly running 3 times a week – though I still think that 3 times is something to go for – doing too many other activities like dance…
Did a +/-5k race yesterday, neither distance nor time were too accurate but I must have been very close to my PR :)
Training for the Mother’s Day Title9 Race in Boulder. I would like to have the same time as last year (or faster).
I’m running the Newtownards half marathon on 4th July! So now I’m not just running any old half marathon, but this half marathon! :D
that while running about as fast as before, my heart rate is like 10 bpm lower than it used to be! Must be the combined effect of running and swimming I suppose, never had this happen with running alone.
I’m still running less than 3 times a week, got to work on that…
Got an invitation at work to take part in a 20k race with a team of colleagues. Last year it was fun – might do it again.
2 or 3 times a week now… and it’s going pretty well:) Today during lunchtime was the (somehow official) monthly 5k race for university staff and other enthusiasts (with like 10 participants out of a few thousands of staff members:) With no real athletes in the race, I was the first to finish, time was 17:28 i.e. equal to my PR – YAY!
I’m not a natural runner but since discovering that running on a treadmill doesn’t mash my knees in the way that running on concrete does it seems a decent form of exercise!
I’m currently doing the Couch to 5K programme, which is fun and I can see the improvement each time so that is encouraging! I’ve made my goal to “run 3 times a week” as it’s about fitness and sticking with an exercise plan rather than trying to run further/faster necessarily. However I currently do about 30 minutes of run/walking doing Couch to 5K and it would be great to get to a point where I can run solidly for 30 minutes without bits of me giving up.
I’ve been running earlier today, well I usually run twice a week, and by experience I know that running is much easier & more fun if I manage to run one more time… I’d like to turn the 3 times weekly into a habit by the end of February, so:
Specific: run 3 times a week
Measurable: two runs of 5km or more, and one of 20 mins or more
Achievable, Realistic: sure, done this before
Timely: 5 weeks in a row before March 1, 2008
Being tired at the moment means I’m not even running at all. I need to sort that out. Ideally, I want to be back to running 6k three times a week and 10k once a week.
