I play in a local amateur orchestra, and love it. I used to play music when I was younger, and I can’t believe I managed to live without playing music for so long…. I write about learning the cello on Fugue State

Learning to play cello has been one of the most awesome things that I’ve ever done. It is an instrument of true expression, of the soul. This is something that I suggest to anyone that wants to try it. Though it takes alot of sweat, hard work, dedication, it is all worth it.
This is kind of like meditating. If I have it near me, it will probably be easier to pick it up and play it. I appreciate the comment about just playing a few minutes a day. I used to practice for an hour a day when I was a kid. I loved it and was good. It is difficult to see how it has deteriorated, therefore, my solution is to not pick it up at all. How silly is that?
I HATED the cello from when my mom started me on it at 4 up until about age 16. Now I am incredibly grateful to my mother. It is a vital part of my life for sure.
I have taken the first step in getting back to playing the cello. I have opened the case.
minutes a day and youll see improvements, unless you wanna be a concert musician you don’t need to spend 6 hours a day playing, though it will make you awesome
suck i hate them but they are importent…i never practice them i need to start. I’m sick of Bachcello suites, I need to move on to something else.. at least i’m playing again
