So some of the things on last year’s summer list were a big unrealistic. This year I’m going to make another one, but I’m giving myself more time to come up with it. It’s just over two months until my summer starts, and I’ve until that time to come up with 43 things I want to do over the summer. In helping me to do this I’ve come up with some things that the list should have on it. If anyone else wants to join me doing their own summer things, try following this list too!
The list should have, as its basis:
- An easy thing to do when it’s been a while since you achieved a goal
- An intellectual goal (e.g. read or study)
- A time-wasting goal, for fun (e.g. finish some computer games)
- A health-related goal (exercise, diet, etc.)
- A goal that benefits others
- Learn a cool party trick (I had “solve a Rubik’s cube” last year, maybe some card tricks this summer)
- A summer-long goal (last summer I notched up 1 million steps on my pedometer … it took the entire summer!)
- A long-term change (I painted my room last year, it doesn’t have to be anything huge)
- A near-impossible goal, so that if you achieve it, you really will have achieved something
If I think of others, I’ll add to the list. It makes it easier to compile a list when you’ve got guidelines. So please do join in, it’d be great to see other people have summer lists! 2 years ago
