find someone who can cut my hair the way I like it to be cut

I have always been particular about how my hair is cut, and I have curly hair, which seems to complicate things. I have found 2 or 3 people who I trust to cut it, but now I have moved away to a new country and have an added challenge of having to translate to another language what I would like to have done. I have only gotten my hair cut once since I have been here, which is 7 months, and the guy who cut it here seemed to be very nervous. I am still trying to figure out the best way to go about this and must do so soon. I have waited way too long already.
