Well, I have been studying a new hand. I am fairly good at it. The capitals are very challenging. I think it is easier to do with a larger x-height. Being left-handed poses many problems: smearing, pen angle, the pull and push of the nib. I have to use a straight pen, and not one of the fancy, crooked “shoulder” nibs that righties get to use. It automatically sets their pen at the correct angle. Sigh…I have been learning how to use gouache. I have fallen in love with metallic gouache on dark-colored paper. WOW! I sill do not consider myself a master, and perhaps I never will. Mastery is perhaps not attainable. It implies that I can then stop learning.
