get all my sabbat items and decorations in order so that when I need them, they are good and all ready to go!

and all the fall stuff is up! I so love the little scarecrow men, and bright fake leaves, and even a festive fall bouquet on the door (can dry leaves and fake acorns and apples be festive?).

Anyway, it’s cute, it’s organized, and I’m happy.

I am going to spend 5 minutes a day on this room, itty bitty Baby Stepping!

cause it works for me too. I have a room, a room that is supposed to be a ritual room, except it faces south without air conditioning, and gets waaaay too hot for much. So I shove stuff in it, including a lot of my witchy/sabbat stuff, and drag it out as ye will.

So I’d like to put some curtains up to block the sun (but to open for the fabulous view), get a small a/c window unit, and actually organize my sabbat stuff in this room. Once I even let an entire season go by without decorating, and I love to get all seasoney. So it will just make me happy if I can BabyStep this goal.

1 week to go and I haven’t even stared looking for my beltaine stuff…. eveyone is coming over to celebrate..lol I need to get my shit together. Now I also see that it is supposed to rain and snow next weekend:( I hope that forecast changes. I hate dancing the maypole in cold slush! :)

will be challenging to get Beltaine stuff organized before the end of the month- with getting ready for our trip- being away and well just the business of being busy at the farm with everything, I sure hope to find and get everthing done! Still not sure if we are having people out of not… I hope to figure it all out asap so I can be somewhat prepared.

I took some time to talk to Dare about this year and what we want to do. There is MUCH to do between now and then, nevermind being away in Mexico for 10 days. We are trying to deceide if we should keep it a closed hoilday for just family or if friends can join us as well… The one thing we did come to consensus about is MEAD! We haven’t made a batch of Beltaine mead in 4 YEARS! Crazy stuff! I can’t drink it anymore because of the sugar content, but I love making it just the same and it is so wonderful to have homemade for certain rituals. Dare makes amazing strawberry mead:) Too bad the wild stawberries won’t be in season here till June/July. When the dandilions are in bloom I am going to make some dandilion wine and some fireweed mead.
ok.. getting off track now;)so yes! Beltaine. We are going to discuss it more today and make a decision today I hope!

is coming up… Normally I would go to dance the maypole with about 60-100 people out at an event that a friend organizes. However I really miss the days of a small maypole with family and friends- a more meaningful ritual and some great food! later followed by a little.. in the garden at night with Dare:)I think this year I want to stay home and celebrate. I always feel like mayday should be a joyous, boisterous holiday – however dare likes it quieter and I am finding as I get older.. I do too:)
