Expectations, life, fulfillment 10 months ago

There is a shadow behind the expectations I have put upon me. Other people tell me to write, publish, share. I’m still so scared. I don’t know what it is going to take for me to get a reality check, a fact check, a sense of belief. I tell myself to wait until you do this, wait until you do that, but I know that life does not happen when you’re waiting. It happens when you’re doing.

I do a lot. When it comes down to it, I am always busy. Maybe that is the problem. Maybe being busy isn’t enough. It never seems like enough though it is so much.

I run a lot. But it might not be enough. Will I get my return from my investment? I think so. I believe so.

I’ve started to write a lot more. Will I get my return from my investment? Only time and patience will tell, I suppose.

“Pressure is nothing more than the shadow of great opportunity.” -Michael Johnson.

Submit to Literary Magazines 11 months ago

The Sun is the main one. I need to add to this list and get some of my pieces ready to send! That’s the problem though I take forever to make my pieces “perfect” and ready to send and then I don’t send them. It’s ridiculous!

The Steps to Make this Happen... 12 months ago

    The Steps:
1.) Find three great poems and short stories.
2.) Spiff them up and edit them.
    3.) Get the addresses together.
4.) Buy envelopes and self addressed envelopes.
5.) Mail them off and let them try to find a home.

car mags don't count. 3 years ago

I got a letter published in Road & Track once, but that obviously doesn’t count. Somedays I get worried that if I don’t send stuff out, I’ll stop writing. And somedays, I do.
