I still do moan from time to time, but everyone’s entitled to a bit of a sob and rant from time to time, right? I now see things far less pessimistically and if I have a problem, I don’t go on about it as much to others. You’re welcome to dwell on things (although it’s best not to) but not to tell everyone repeatedly how crappy you’re feeling when things do get you down! It doesn’t help you feel better most of the time!

    Nyeeeeeaaaahhh, it’s too haaaaarrd!

But seriously. This goal is too vague. I know I can’t QUIT whining. How do I judge when I have successfully whined LESS? I don’t even know…and I can’t accomplish a goal that I can’t accurately define when I’ve accomplished, so to hell with it.

Whining doesn’t solve anything and makes you tedious to those around you. Whine less, solve more.

Look, I’ll admit there’s a time when positive thinking can drive one to despair, and that being the plucky little heroine when things go badly wrong can grow tiresome. But the alternatives (playing the whiny, depressed, angry, bitter victim)are SOOOO much worse.
