I finally passed my drivers license around May…Soo Happy! The whole process cost around $1200, and now I’m old enough that the $ wasn’t an issue..I haven’t driven since I got my license, I think some of these rental companies want you driving at least a year so I just have to wait it out before I can rent a car. I’ll probably take a few more lessons since I’m a bit rusty, nervous about expressways but the hardest part is over – I’m legal! One off the bucket list! 4 months ago

So I finally got around to attending weekly lessons, which went well for a few months until my super nice instructor quit. (He promised me I wasn’t the reason.) He said I was only 4-5 more lessons away from being test-ready, yay! Then my new instructor spent our first lesson rudely telling me how much I AND my previous instructor sucked at driving. he literally called me a danger to the road. So, super confused, I walked home crying and haven’t been to a lesson since. I’m afraid he might be right, am I actually too ADHD to drive?

...Although, the driving school recently closed, so maybe he also sucked as an instructor. :)

Lessons are going well, I think. Roundabouts no longer seem like scary lawless deathtraps. I’m definitely a bit of a ditzy driver currently, I don’t set off or change gears very smoothly, tend to drive over the speed limit, and sometimes forget which gear I’m in >.< Hopefully this will wear off with time..ahem. Haven’t even glanced over my theory yet. What with me being a lazy daydreaming bum and having a proper 9 to 5 job now, I spend most of my days off messing around on the internet. I’m hoping that as I get more into the swing of the job, I’ll feel less exhausted by the weekend and will start using my time more wisely again. But for now, screw the theory, I’m still focusing on getting the actual driving down! 4 months ago

I had my first lesson back after many months today. It went smoother than I expected and I managed more than I thought I would, which is good. Even managed to get a maneuver in there…reverse around a corner is a maneuver, right? I should probably know that. I should go over my driver’s CD so I know things like that :P Still haven’t gotten around to using it yet but I will do! 6 months ago

Ok I’ve finally booked another driving lesson for next saturday, and dug out and dusted off my progress sheet from last summer when I last had any lessons. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to look through my drivers CDs to try and refresh my memory before the lesson. 6 months ago
