I am 17 and I still have not taken any classes, nor do I have time to soon.
I guess I have to wait til I turn 18 and will take the test.
How I did it: I lost my wallet back in July of 2009. I have no idea how this happened, some suspected theft within the family. I am not really a drinker and generally am a good driver so I put off not having a licence. It was weird driving without one. I often wondered what that was like for people who don't give a hoot or are driving illegally. I mean, I was driving illegally. People did ask to see my ID but thankfully I had my… Read how I did it…

How I did it: Just followed the procedure at RTO and got baked waiting in the sun for the Brake engineer to come for the test. Farce of a driving test but hey, I am not complaining. I do have to admit, I worry that it is so absurdly easy to get a DL and seeing the folks who were in the beach waiting for the test, the ones were practicing were so awesomely awful, I keep imagining me meeting them tomorrow morning on the road! &nbs… Read how I did it…
How I did it: After several friends in accidents and a couple of ex boyfriends that thought it was fun to scare the crap out of me by driving really fast. I had had my beginners (from Canada) expire 2 times (5 years each, yes, 10 years lol) and then I have had this G1 for the past 3 years. I do not have my full license YET but am driving independently now (G2). Read how I did it…
vwruleschick is looking forward to the weekend(again)!
How I did it: This is a while back, but my parents didn't want me to get my license at 16. I am sure they were scared of their teen on the road with all the other crazies.Well that year I didn't have so good grades in Math, so I had to go to summer school. UGH! So until I passed my summer school course I wasn't allowed to take the written test to get my learner's license.I passed Math and got a B+. Now, for the written test out of 40 questions, I … Read how I did it…
Romko summer officially started!
How I did it: Alright so this story is based on Canada (G1/G2 license), you can read if interested. The first written exam was easy and shit and I took it on my birthday. I got started learning to drive with my dad which is also a driver instructor. In total I did not drive that much but enough.Anyways so in 8 months I was able to take my G2 to get my semi-full license (I can now drive alone) and so I did. Since my dad is a driver instructor, he had con… Read how I did it…

My mom let me drive myself to work this morning (alone!). I’ve actually been doing quite a bit of driving lately thanks to driving school and guilting my mother into letting me drive more. I can parallel park, do turnabouts, I’ve gotten better control of my turns. I feel like I might be ready to take the test but I need just a little more practice and then I’ll be 100% ready.

I called to ask after the price of the exam and the course.
It wasn’t too bad, I’m going to book the date.
Felt good, now for regular studying.

I went on the internet to look up how/where to do the exam.
Bother, they don’t make it easy, it’s a ripoff, really.
So I’m going to call and book it, but first i need to know what it costs.

So Im done with my 2 classroom sessions and I signed up for driving time this Thursday and my mom and I have been driving a lot more lately. Im really good at staying in the lines, turning, stopping (smoothly), and maintaining proper speed. NowI just need to work on parking (regular and definitely parellel), backing up, and remembering to put my signal on early enough, lol.

Tomorrow morning I have my first Drivers Ed class. Im a little nervous because I dont want to feel weird about being 21 and just now learning to drive and I really hate classrooms (its so awkward and bright and quiet). Anyway I have to take two 3 hour classroom sessions and then I get 6 hours of driving lessons. Hopefully after I log my drving time I will be comfortable enough to take the test before the end of October.
Then my new goal will be to get a car…I already know what I want! =)
on my growing list of things to do driving is at the very top. The bus gets more crowded and annoying everyday! I can drive I just have no license . . .failed the test for parking. sucks right. thats okay though . . im gonna take care of it!!

I’ve had my permit for a little over a month so Im now eligible to take the test for my license. Unfortunately I’ve only driven twice thanks to my job, and my unmotivated mother.
So now Im going to take matters into my own hands and look into driving school. Not only will I recieve good driving training from someone who wont jerk the wheel if they think Im over a “wee” too far, but Ill also get a discount on my insurance whenever I get a car! And my mom said she would pay for it! yay!
I’ll update today or tomorrow once I find out the details. =)
