Get drivers license

I got my permit today!! So now I just have to practice practice practice and I’ll be eligible to take the driving test in one month!! yay! Im getting soooo close! =)

Only a few months ‘til I can start to learn

I’ve actually been studying the drivers manual for the past 4 days and I was fully prepared to take it today but I completely forgot the fee has gone up (from $8 to $15) and Im flat-arsed broke. Someone was supposed to be paying me back some money they owe me but they havent as of yet. But come heck or high water Im going first thing friday morning (after I go to the gym, lol)

When i first drove a manual i crashed it into the garage, to make matters worse it was my auntie’s car and the whole bonnet got totalled. From then on i am very worried and nervous to drive.

Starting next week, aiming to pass the exam in about three months.

Felt GREAT actually, less worrisome than i remember really. Its seriously a confidence thing and the people i’m driving with these days are definately good at instilling the confidence that i can do this and do it well.
Looking forward to some more opportunities and to driving on the freeway once or twice before my test.

My biggest weakness has generally been parking, not paralel, that i can do, but parking front in, in a spot.

Its a very strange kind of mental geometry but i’m certainly getting it.

Also… Driving can be fun, i’m convinced of this as i have a handsome new example of that particular principle. :)

I’m pretty excited about all of this, it will be supremely freeing to have this one thing under my belt!

I drove my friend anna’s car for a bit the other day, and i’m hoping to go drive with chelsey on sunday for a good practice-y lesson-y thing.

I’ll get this done. :)

I’ve got an appointment tomorow between 4 and 5pm in Factoria tomorow which will be my first time back on the road, and hopefully help me get beyond my anxiety so that i can get down to business really practicing.
Yay.

Trying not to be freaked out!

Wednesday, i went to the liscencing office and treated myself to a knowledge test and a permit so that i can take my drivers test.
I’ve got to start SOON, and am gonna book a couple of lessons with an instructor to re-start that process.
I only got 3 out of 25 questions wrong (multiple choice) and am getting a handle of ‘MPH’ for sure.

Looking forward to ONE TEST to get this freaking liscence and to having a WA state ID so i don’t have to say ‘The DOB is on the Bottom’ every time i go to a bar!

Also, i’d just like to say this is the FIRST TIME I’ve been EXCITED about taking a drivers test. I’ve always sort of done it begrudgingly, but living in the suburbs makes having a car SO much more exciting!!!

I will totally pass that shit!

I need to take the WA state knowledge test.
To do that, and to apply for liscence, i need to bring the following:

Proof of identity
Passport and visa
Government mail to address

proof of residence
transcript with address
A pay stub with address

Social Security NUMBER not neccessarily the card.

I’ll need to get a transcript and probably can do that on monday and go to the office on tuesday and take my prelimininary knowledge test too.
