Become a crossword puzzle wiz

My record is starting the Washington Post Express’s puzzle at Greenbelt and finishing it while waiting for the transfer at Fort Totten. That’s four stations out in the ‘burbs, so about, um, eighteen minutes, maybe seventeen. I can complete the NYT puzzle entirely about half the time by myself, though that does take me a bit of time. (I was doing those at the beach, but the sand flies were enjoying them, too.)

I just made my first attempt at a crossword puzzle mastery through the LA Times Daily Puzzle…which kinda took me forty five minutes and three seconds. I’m so awesome :P

This is a relatively tiny goal, but my mother is a genius at these things. And I’m not a straight A student, but I want to think faster and extend my vocabulary.
