better yet, why is it automatically assumed that ppl that have one or two things in common, one or two things that define them as a minority (gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, age etc) should be confined to grouping with other ppl that have those things in common. or have at least one friend with those qualities. i agree that having those things in common probably menaqs that youve been throughteh same difficulties, but isnt it how you deal with those difficulties that should make others, regardless of y’alls differences, gravitate towards you?
