This weekend, we went to an awesome area of Colorado…Montrose and Ouray. It’s in the southern part of the state and it’s just gorgeous. Montrose is similar to Denver with a smaller, newer feel. Ouray is a little moutain town about 35 miles from Mostrose and it’s just an awesome little place. The area between them is just beautiful with plenty of open land. We spent the weekend walking around, goofing off, going to the hot springs, and shopping. I finally got my “official” proposal and engagement ring. We’ve been engaged for months but my sweetheart had my ring custom made and it took a while to get it.

Anyway, we talked about our dreams and what we’ve been doing this year is working hard to pay off our debts and put money away. Next year, we will be able to start putting so much money into savings that we’ll be able to buy land and build our own house by 2015. We really like the area between Montrose and Ouray, so we’re dreaming of buying there. Our minds will probably change, but we both feel very strongly about owning our own land and building our own house. And we’re both working our asses off to get it! :) 4 years ago
