zombiesmacker comes on like a crippled plaything
It depends on the type of circus. Abused animals and creepy clowns…I pass. Freaks and oddities…now that’s entertainment! :P

I went to barnum and bailey cirucs last summer and it was awesome!!! The only bad part was the fact that I was probably one of the oldest people their. (besides the parents)
Just to clarify this ambition, I don’t mean an ‘airy fairy’ circus with clowns and performing animals… I want a thrilling, awe-inspiring experience that I’ll never forget.
The closest I’ve heard of is ‘Billy Smarts’ and ‘nofitstate’, which has been described as dark and mysterious…
Although I’ve been to many Cirque du Soleil performances, my first real experience was at the circus in ChimeLong, China. It was the animals that gave it the authentic-feel. They have all kinds of animals most probably because they’re located next door to the zoo. I do hope they’re treated with lots of care.
Mind you, Cirque du Soleil shows are breathtaking and a must-see!
Yes it’s sad. “You never had a childhood,” you might claim. “Your parents didn’t actually love you,” you may quip. But you’re wrong, on two counts. It is a little sad. Which is why I’ve got this as one of my now 37things.
Some might be keen to see the clowns or elephants; me, I’m keen so see the trapeze acrobats. Those guys and girls are totally cool; providing they do something that is dangerous and they could loose their live over—but they nail it of course. And they need a taunting drum-roll to raise the suspense.
I “ran away and joined the circus” when I was 18. It was an amazing experience and I learned a lot. I traveled and was paid for it.
It can be stressful with all the driving, but that’s what was really so wonderful about it.
arriving in a new town, setting up, performing 2-3 shows a day, breaking down and driving a few hundred miles. But going to different towns, meeting new people and seeing some amazing sights was the most wonderful thing.

The circus was amazing. It wasn’t traditional at all: there were no animals or clowns or anything, but it was all acrobatics and gymnastics and music and dance and storytelling and it was awesome. It was really dark and mysterious and gothic. I’d recommend it to anyone: http://www.nofitstate.org/
