Take more photos with me in them

With a baby growing in leaps ad bounds, a camera is practically essential, so we got another one. It’s such a nice camera, too.

The other night Tommy asked me if he was still supposed to take photos of me for the girl from France, and I said “yes, she has an ongoing art project, so more are always wanted.” “Oh, I just wasn’t sure coz you hadn’t mentioned it.” And I said “Yes I did…” “Since we got the new camera?” he asked. “Yes. A couple times. I just hate begging you to do anything for me, so I gave up.” ):

Tommy goes to FanExpo in TO and someone stole the camera. Apparently a pickpocket was working the convention center coz a LOT of people’s belongings turned up missing.

Sigh…

I get to be a model!

Okay, kind of. Before you start thinking of like a clothing model, no, it’s not that.

It seems like every time I log into myspace I get a ton of friend requests. Mostly from bands (I think this and this band are pretty good) but occasionally from a real person or even a message!

A week ago this guy from Toronto was hitting on me – yeah, how weird is that? lol. He thought I was in TO and asked what I was doing later that night, including his cell phone and the offer to call him if I was ever in the area. That kind of thing never happens to me! Once I asked him if he’d noticed I was married I never heard back from him.

Then the other night I logged in and within minutes I got a message from a girl from France. She is doing an art project for school and she saw me and thought I’d be perfect to help her out, if I would be so kind. (I realize that that is totally canned, just a generic en masse message she sent to anyone who looks half decent, but still. Just let me be disillusioned, thank you!)

She included a link to her deviant art page and instructions on how she wants me to pose, along with her email address. So I get to be a model!

The the other night I was talking to someone else on another networking site. He mentioned models and I told him about the art project I get to contribute to. He said if you’re ever nearby (he’s in New York) he likes photography and he’d take my picture.

I told him not to offer unless he was serious because I would take him up on it. But he’s serious! He sent me his modelmayhem portfolio link and I got to see all of his photographs. He’s pretty good, too!

I get to be a model! I get to be a model! I’m positively singing right now, lol!

Now I really do need that stupid passport.

My mom and I have always shared the digital camera. She is, for the absolute most part, an utterly terrible photographer. I don’t know how she does it… but she really takes bad photos. The camera was used mostly for her puppy pictures, and because I was webmistress, the camera was most always in my possession.

Today Tommy went shopping and came back with our OWN camera! (It was on sale, too.) Now we don’t have to share.

Higher resolution photos than the first camera, and seeing how my rosacea has been fairly good to me recently and a new baby to be born very soon, I want more photos with me in ‘em!
