My HSB account has been over limit. It was hard, but I paid so that I would not been over limit. The limit is 300 and I have 16 available. It’s nothing, but I’m determined to bring this one under control.
The bill is due and I need to remember to pay it on next pay period. I also need to get my credit score and report so I’ll know how far I have to go.
I have a credit card that is active! The limit is $300 and I have almost maxed it. The good news is that I’m in good standing and can pay as much or as little as I want or can. I will not mess this up and will continue to pay down other things. I would like to use this card to buy a new bowling ball, or maybe a netbook.
I’ve been paying things recently that I haven’t been able to pay for months. I’m feeling the color come back to my cheeks.
I have copies of my credit reports and am going to review them with a fine tooth comb. I know my biggest issue is late pays. My problem is not having a habit or regular system of paying bills. I talk about setting up bill pay but I haven’t yet. So, review reports and set up bill pay system. Those are my first steps with this task.
I can’t stand to even think about FICO score anymore. I’ve read enormous number of articles on how to improve my FICO sore. All they provide tips like your parents told you to do -pay your bills on time! Surely man with 6 years of accurate payments can obtain new credit easier and with lower fees than person who was late on the electricity payment 4 out of 5 times. So what you absolutely must do is to pay all your bills on time. Don’t max out you credit line. Don’t cancel your cards and don’t apply for new credit card only for improving you FICO. And you credit score would were you want it to be.
I wonder if I close my old credit cards , how it would affect my credit score? The accounts have zero balance. I don’t use these credit cards. One says having many credit cards reduce your credit score. The other says you have a better score because you have a very high total credit line combined from all the accounts. Which one is correct?
