I want to get one of those upside down methods of growing tomatoes. I have a small space ,and it seems that this method is also the best way to keep critters from lunching on your crop. Bugs are another matter, but I think the deer and rabbits will dine elsewhere. 3 years ago

How I did it: I bought a big blue container at a Home Depot/Lowes place and three tomato plants as well as a basil plant (cause how much better is tomato and basil than just tomato!) and a bag of potting soil. My town has a free compost pile and I filled the rest of my container with compost to mix with my soil.
It took a while for them to start making flowers but it was because it was cool and I didn't water them enough. Once it got warmer and i started watering more they started doing great. Now they're all making tomatoes and I'll have them for at least another 6 weeks! Read how I did it… 3 years ago
