I stayed in Prague for one year teaching English, met a great guy and we have now moved to Thailand to continue teaching for another year. TEFL programs are available wo… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I'd been thinking about living in a different country since I spent a semester in Wales during my undergrad degree, but I wanted to be sure I could succeed at whatever my job was. I've been here for 2 years now teaching English and loving the daily learning and cultural observation provided by living outside o… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I've done it twice, the first time I applied for a job as a nanny and did it that way. The second time my partner applied for a job with an English speaking company and they gave us accomodation for 3 months and helped with the red tape. Read how I did it…

This is my first entry for this goal. And it’s all coming closer now! I’m really looking forward to this. Only a few steps to make and then this dream will, finally, be reality.
Tomorrow we’re 1st August, 2009. In a year I will move to the UK! Whoop!
I want to experience a totally different culture. A different mindset. Different thoughts. Different ways of looking at the world. I want to get out of myself as I am and be able to have a clearer perspective about why I do things, what things are important, what God really requires.
AwakenMe is likely doing too many things!
I had always wanted to live in the United States for awhile, but never really thought about it. Then the chance came while I was taking a year off school. I took it, and 4 months later I moved to Florida where I stayed for 8 months. It was fun and a good experience! Its something worth doing if you can!

We went and lived in Mexico for 2 months to learn Spanish. It was the most stressful 2 months of my life. If I were to move out of the country again (long-term)- I think it would have to be to England. The Mexican culture was just a bit too much for me to handle.
Remember you do nothing…its all him…. ask, tell him. Get your change!
