How I did it: Asked a few mates and got together to practice. Umm then we choose some songs we liked learnt them and we practiced stage moves aswell as making our own songs. Read how I did it…
RachyXkorr is feeling tired and uninspired.
How I did it: I asked all my friends who could sing and eventually I found one enthusiastic enough. There was a local busking festival 2 days later, and on that morning we met up and practised a few songs then we went out and busked. It was great fun and the compliments make you feel really good. im 19 and ive been playing the drums since i was 10. I had a band for quite some time, weve done way too many live shows to count. The number one thing about it is to just be enthusiastic. Make the band your top priority and actually love what you do.
And post bulletins up at your local music shop or school. guaranteed someone will come running
I’ve done 4 proper gigs so far with 2 bands, and joined in on a few songs here and there with my bro’s band. Good times! When the singer gets back from his travels, we’ll start gigging again. :-)
im a fourteen year old kid who wants to be in a band i play heavy metal and i need to be in a band now
I play drums. I’ve been playing for awhile now but I don’t really have any classical training or anything. I’ve spent alot of money on my drum set (its a 5 piece) but I can never really get any of my friends that play guitar to come over and jam. I’m thinking of maybe checking the paper for bands looking for a drummer and see if i can find some worthwhile musicians to play with.
kiifee is enjoying
i want to join a band, and tell the the world,i have been a rock star.
Rock and roll~
I’m a African American girl who loves rock music and my dream is to become a musician like Hayley Williams or better. I know it would be hard cause not many blacks are into rock, but I’m gonna kill myself getting better at guitar until I do!
skyandheart wow. seriously. wow.
ok, this is probably going to sound lame.
but last night me and some friends had a quiet night, and one of them brought over their whole wii rockstar set up- the one with the microphone, drum kit, and guitar. I’ve been contemplating the idea of singing in a band, and know that I can sing, but just have been terrified of that first step, because I wasn’t sure how I’d handle the act of singing live, improvising etc. I’ve never even done karaoke.
Last night, when it came to me singing, I was completely terrified, and not sure if the notes would come out of my mouth until the first word, and then it just came. I feel high. It was awesome. Yes, I made mistakes, and had bits where I was off key, but that was mainly because I was unfamiliar with some of the songs. But on the whole, it was incredible. I feel like a part of myself has been shown to me. Now I know that singing is one more thing that really does nourish my soul. (Which sounds lame and hippy. I’ll be singing fairly hard, rocky music. No praising or glorying. But that’s what makes me most happy. )
Ah, wonderful. I feel light.
I have been playing guitar now for a little more than a year, and i feel that im alright at jamming. i really want to join a band, since it is music that usually sets my mood. its probably my greatest passion in life. i love listening to new good music, discovering artists ive never heard of, and especially being creative and writing music. i have a bunch of friends who have been in many bands, but im not sure if im really good enough yet. but anyways my goal is to become good enough and get into a band
