Jessica Steelers FTW!
Both the TV movie and the book are excellent.
I recommend it to everyone who asks me what they should read.
this is a great book. it really emphasizes the importance of every action and how everyone in this world is connected…
true, non-cheesy inspirational fiction
Everyone recommended “Tuesdays with Morrie” to me, but I liked “The Five People You Meet in Heaven” so much more.
It’s not very long and if you make the time, will take maybe an hour or two. It’s a really interesting idea and I feel like it very much impacted some of my thoughts on what heaven is like.
I just finished this book and I’m quite disappointed. I actually read it in one sitting, which is pretty weird (even though it is short.) I thought I would come out of it with a new perspective and at least a little bit enlightened, but I didn’t find this at all. The rave reviews were exaggerated. It was a cute story, but everything that was supposed to be intriguing and thought provoking seemed so obvious to me. I was bored with it and just wanted to get to the end of it to see if it did get interesting.
Definitely worth doing. This book made me think about the people who change our lives and lives we change possibly without ever even knowing. I can’t wait to see the movie now… even though i know it probably won’t hold up to the book.
I don’t know which of Mitch Albom’s books are better “Five People You Meet in Heaven” or “Tuesdays with Morrie” but I recommend them both…highly.
Loved it. Not the greatest literary epic, but a wonderfully thoughtful and thought provoking piece.
