How to buy a new bike

How I did it: It took me a bit of budgeting since I didn't have alot of extra money. I managed to just save a few dollars and whatever loose change I had every week in a box that I might have spent on coffee drinks or impulse purchases. Before long I managed to save about 100 dollars. After searching some websites I ran across a great deal on craigslist.org for a bike that originally cost $650 for only $80. A sweet Deal! Lessons & tips: I learned to be patient and avoid buying too quickly. I could have just bought a new bike from store on credit but then I'd be paying on it for a year to come. How I did it: Saved up, ordered, waited - bought! Set the amount I wanted to spend ($600), browsed through a few online websites of reputable bike manufacturers and visited a local bike shop, where I fell in love with a beautiful 'giant' cypress - silver and chrome in colour and sparkling like Albus Dumbledore's eyes in the summer sun! Well, that bike is no more so I will have to do this again anyhow. This time I decided to buy a brand new one. Trust me, I’m worth it. Next week!

i discovered there are hyrbrid bikes now part manual part electric. some can go as fast as 30mph and have a battery life of 6 hours at full speed . i dont plan on goin that fast all the time anyway so it would prolly last me even longer. plus i can still pedal around for exercise, but being able to have a option between the two would be awsome for different situations :).

I love my hybrid bike, but all I really use it for is commuting to and from work and friend’s houses. I think it’s time for a road bike. But I also want to be better about budgeting, so this means saving up if I want to buy a new bike.

My bike got jacked right out of my apartment, last summer. I’d really like a new one as soon as I’m in a better place. Still need to decide what type of bike to get, etc. I used to be really into mountain biking, but I travel mostly on the road, now.
