comixminx is a bit muzzy.
Not that we always manage to eat all of it before it gets a bit past it, but we’ve had some delicious stuff from the box.

Though we’re not entirely sure what to do with the big swede that we’ve had some of, and the kohl rabi that we haven’t yet even opened. I can see this being a fixture, though – very convenient, and the food does taste very good. The fruit is a particular bonus – we’ve had lovely pears which I normally wouldn’t even bother buying because of the danger of them being woody and tedious.

The mandarins are good, and we had mashed spud w/a bit of parsnip tonight. Tasty it was! The cabbage might be a little trickier – it’s very nice fried up but does take a bit longer to slice than some of the other items.

Have neither opened it nor eaten any of it but yay for it arriving safely and early!

Let’s see how it goes!
I started doing this in November last year the site I use is www.riverford.co.uk they deliver in the South West and have links to some other sites. It is fantastic. Good healthy fresh food and seasonal as well as not being imported and travelling all those extra food miles.
I love it and recommend it

Organic boxes are fab!!!! In the summer especially – big feast of fresh veggies and the most amazing eggs! makes you feel like you are doing something to escape the wretched supermarket mentality too! Also it makes you be creative with your cooking as you dont know what you are going to get every week! :)))))
Been doing this for a few years now. It really forces me not to waste all that good food so I find I’m eating healthier (esp. more fruit) and doing more cooking and experimenting to the point where I can take some random veg and make something yummy in about 20 minutes.
Still working on the planning skills involved with cooking.
I want to try out some “100 mile diet” recipes sometime.
Silly Drowa daring to fully love
I love the challenge of creating meals from whatever comes my way, am very sad that it seems there’s more food in even the smallest box for 2 of us to consume.
Maybe if we cooked more… I’d be healthier, but ooh, it takes mroe time…
