How to go to New York before I turn 30
"Finding out that "there" is sometimes a lot like "here" and that's a good thing."
How I did it: I had some extra vacation days and booked a five day trip to NYC. I landed on SAturday morning and stayed at the youth hostel. It was fun to see the city, ride the subway, walk in Central Park, go to the Moma.
It was nice to go alone too, and pretend to be a local and go shopping like they do on "What not to wear."
Though I stayed in cheaper accomodations, I ate well and treated myself whereever I wanted. I went to the Empire State Building and all the museums I could see.
Lessons & tips: Wear good shoes
Enjoy the experience
Resources: Airline
International Youth Hostel -- they have great tours
A good map I picked up at the airport
