paint a masterpiece

i’ve been working on this painting for like a week and a half. its only b/c oil paints take forever to dry.

started painting a naval scene from WW2 a while back, then kinda lost faith. i’ll get back into it and maybe show you how it goes…lol

For all I know, everything I paint is a masterpiece that is worth hang on my own walls. Why should my opinion depend on other people’s opinions or their willingness to buy any of them?
Have I mentioned Van Gogh’ story? Worth reading!

Would anyone join this goal?
I cannot believe there are no painters eager to show their paintings. Are you shy? How about showing your work? Come on, people!
This is one of mine.

The last painting was an oil of my horse outside. I stopped working on it in June of last year. I can barely tolerate looking at it. I’ve always been hyper-critical of my work. That’s probably why I am under a massive creative block (off & on) for the past decade. I do believe it’s killing me. I need a mentor.

This was my first try on painting – not a masterpiece, of course, but it was fun to do.

Along with other interests, I love to paint. I don’t know how to draw very well, but I know I have a way with colors. My goal is to paint pictures to decorate my home.

I’ve been doing it for 3 years now and with every painting I do I see more improvment, I just painted my first portrait of a girl I liked where things fell through but I’m happy to say it looks very good and has a good 36 hours in it. A masterpiece don’t always have to be a perfect work of art and masterpiece is a painting that looks good to you. If it looks good to you then you know others will enjoy looking at it to. If you don’t enjoy looking at it, then you have what I like to call a disaster piece. Your best works of art will always come out in insperation. Find that insperation and you’ll be happy with your art. Happy painting

I really want to paint a masterpiece!! i paint occasionally but it takes me to get in to a certain mood and ambiance to enable my self to even paint . i want to paint something that everyone is going to either remember me by or want .
