go storm chasing

I guess some would think I’m mad wanting to go chase storms, maybe its the British in me – a fasination with weather.

I have always been fascinated with weather. When we lived in Bowling Green, KY I had my first experience of seeing a tornado. We were waiting in line at the drive up teller window at the bank when a tornado touched down right in front of the bank. It blew out all of the triple pane windows and wreaked havoc. Then it lifted back up in the sky and crossed the road and touched down 2 or 3 more times hitting a drycleaners and the Kroger grocery store. It was amazing how much damaged it caused in such a short amount of time. While it was happening I wasn’t scared, I was more curious about the path in which it had come from and where it went after touching down in front of the bank. Their were storms that it split into 3 tornadoes going all different directions. I don’t know if that was true but it was an awesome event to witness. I must be crazy but I love storms, especially lightning storms. I can watch them for hours. I know there are others that feel the way I do. I wonder how many.
