i like to think of myself as a star bellied sneach, a character from a dr seuss book. in high school i had an older boyfriend with arms covered in tattoos. he offered me one for my birthday and without putting much, if any thought into it, i found myself suppine in the tattoo parlour getting a sun etched around my belly button. it was painful. she’d only completed the outline when i croaked, ” are you almost finished?” ready to faint. “yes, almost done,” she answered, then proceeded to fill it in for nearly an hour. when my mom saw it she cried. my dad said it was ugly. all my friends thought it was fake and tried to rub it off. i like that it is discreet. people only see it when i’m in my bikini. i love it still today, ten years later. once i had a dream that i woke up and it wasn’t there anymore. i though to myself, well, i guess i’ll have to go get it tattooed on again. now my mom says, “i think it’s cute.” people ask, ” what will happen when you have a baby?” i’m convinced it will stretch out to resemble an octopus but i’ll worry about that day when it comes.
How to get a tattoo I wouldn't regret
How I did it: I picked out my design 3 years ago but it took a lot longer to decide where to get it on my body. Once I made a decision I did a lot of research on tattoos and what to expect. I stopped into two shops to ask as many questions as possible. I didn't like the first one but loved the artists at the second shop and got my tattoo right then and there!
Lessons & tips: Do your research and make sure you are completely happy with your choice. Put the design somewhere you can see it everyday for at least a few months. If you still like it after that its less likely you'll hate it on your body someday. Most importantly know your tattoo artist's name and take a look at their portfolio, don't let just anyone draw on your body for life!

I have finally decided exactly where on my body I want to put my tattoo so I think I’m finally ready for this. I’ve been asking around about good artists and I should have some extra money in a few weeks so I guess this is really going to happen!
Serastar loves lazy Sundays
...were worth it. They remind me of where I’ve been and who I’ve become.
Ok, so here’s what the tattoo will look like…once I have enough money to get it…
last one is of my grandsons eyes on my left arm
Well, I think I have finally settled on a design for my tattoo. After mulling over this decision for more than a year I think its safe to say I really want to do this since its stayed on my mind for so long. And now that I’m really sure what I want it to be I’m even more excited. Now I have to save the money for it.
LittleWolf Life is beautiful.
Sooo. ..any areas that can’t be tattooed. I’d want a little wolf paw print on the bottom of my foot, some meaty area. No one has ever heard of this so I am wary of even asking anyone. . .
Finally I make up my mind that I really wanna get it and also I find a friend with me. To be serious, I set up a deadline – the end of April, so that I can surely make it. So far I have two optional places for my first tattoo: ankle, where I find it’s a beautiful place, and the other, my button of back, I guess it’s sexy~LOL For what will be there, I just cannot tell explicitly since they’re just some prototypes..I’m happy that finally I’m working on it!
ok- make sure the place you pick cleans the instruments via autoclave. I discourage words on them. Look for detail and color. Jewerly can be stolen or lost- a tattoo is for life. So for the cash it is a good investment. There are still some conservative judges around so I dont suggest a tattoo you cant hide with a long sleave shirt. It is a waste if I myself cant see it. I see alot of tatts on the neck. DONT.
In my case I picked a bald eagle in flight, over a sunset. I was mad at the government- so did not pick the design with words. Placed on my left bicept can be seen with some shortsleeve shirts. And when Im driving. :-)
Avoid anything ganglike.
Tattoo removal costs around $400 a square inch.
Some woman have makeup tattood on.
Now if I can defy the aging process, yay!
OK, I’ve never done heroin, but I can imagine they are similarly addictive. I got my first tattoo when I was 19 and promised a friend that I would stop at 6 (that’s how many Steven Baldwin, the end-all, be-all of cool then, had at that time). Now I have 4 and plans for at least 3 more. Once you start, it’s hard to stop.
