Travel overseas within the next 12 months

It’s been a few years since I visited the relatives, will be great to see everyone. Tickets are now booked, so I am definitely going overseas this year :) 23 months ago

mid year. I won’t be going to any of the places I mentioned in my last entry. Instead I will be visiting relatives overseas. It will be good to catch up with them as it’s been more than five years. Looking forward to taking my camera and building my portfolio! 2 years ago

The countries I’d like to visit (actually most of these countries I would be revisiting) in the not too distant future;

• Wales, mainly to visit Portmeirion. I have not been to Wales before

• Spain, for the Camino and to revisit. I loved this country the first time I visited. The climate reminded me of home, loved the weather and architecture

• The rest of Europe. To revisit several countries, and to see countries and towns I missed the first time. I was so close but missed places like Capri, Venice, Portugal last time. I also like the idea of chilling out in the Greek Isles for a bit :) I have a friend in Austria who promised me a tour of Vienna, so I need to take that up

• England would be nice to revisit with more than $2 in my pocket. I also know more friends & relatives there now than last time I was there. It’s always nice to visit places where I know someone

• America. I’ve been in touch with my cousins that I finally met last year, and I miss them. I feel I have more emotional ties with this destination than the others on my list at the moment. There’s so much more to see of the country that we didn’t have time for last time. I recently saw great deals to Hawaii, a place I’ve always wanted to visit

For the meantime, I’ll make do with my trip to Cairns next week. I think it will feel far enough I can pretend I’m overseas :)

I wanted to note somewhere as well, that with all the travelling I’ve done to date, it’s taught me that life is wonderful, wherever you take yourself. Although I love seeing cultures that are different to mine, I still appreciate wonder in my everyday life :) 2 years ago
