seems like a rather sick goal at the moment. I have Van’s ‘Summertime in England’ on the brain while shovelling water to stop it flooding the house.

Can you meet me in the country
In the summertime in England
Will you meet me?

So occurred (can never spell that) to me that if any 43ers from London are likely to be hanging around waterloo at 3pm sunday we could meet up :) 5 years ago

of all people should realize there’s a water crisis.
Wasting precious water on terrorists, tsk. I wonder if the good people of Guantanamo Bay know what their tax money is being used for.

Or is it to do with halloween?
I’m English. Dunking is traditional at this time of year, but there are usually apples involved. Ok, maybe he just forgot to mention the apple part. 6 years ago

of getting water to my kids, as in a bath full of hot water, I need to find the most efficient way because it is getting really boring.

If you boil a kettle and pour it in the bath, is it better to put all the hot water in first, or to put the cold water in first, or to mix them both in together? Or does it make no difference?

If hot water evaporates faster than cold water, it would be better to put the cold in first. but if then if the cold water made the hot water less hot…oh i wish i had listened in physics class. 7 years ago

laweeezeau de toilette

is it wasting water to flush after a wee when someone is standing in line (and that person is a member of your family).

Children are taught to flush at school. I’m telling them not to flush. Who’s right? 7 years ago

the other day that all those people wanting to “drink more water” in their goals actually were probably saying in a more acceptable way that they wanted to drink less alcohol (and i thought i was cynical)

i think that is quite interesting. I read in my tea book that people drank beer before the water got drinkable. That would mean that it is easier to brew beer than to make water drinkable. As I mentioned in a different post, the brits had to drink tea on order to stop being pissed all the time because of the beer. I wonder if that’s how they realized that boiling water didn’t make you so ill? (Incidentally, I hate water, I think it’s chemical – don’t get me wrong, chemical is good, as long as I choose which ones).

I read somewhere that a third of the world’s population do not have access to drinking water. How the hell are they remaining ‘one-third?’. And that is one of the more conservative estimates!

Someone said when I was little that it is against uk law not to give someone water when they ask for it.

laweeezI'm reminded

about how important water is when I see it’s number four on the zeitgeist (yes i’ve understood that, but don’t know how to tick a goal done yet).

Oil is bad enough. what hell is going to be let loose when we get into global waterfights? 7 years ago
