While Steph and EJ are off to New Jersey for a friend’s baby shower, I thought I’d give a little description of what’s happening thus far.
In the sidebar, beneath Links, you will see some words that say Photo Gallery, or something to that effect. If you click on that you will be transported into the new Gallery application. Each photo you see on that page will be a random photo from the folder within. Click on the photo to see more.
Some folders have additional folders within them, this is particularly true with the most recent folders and is the direct result of our purchasing a dedicated digital camera and the new organizational application which I have been using on my laptop.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some more slothful behavior to get out of the way before the girls come home.

So we got our little girl back, and now she’s an inch taller, at least. And that became a problem today. See, we have had my keyboard on a couple of fruit crates beneath my drawing table for her to play while sitting on my art supply tacklebox. Ok, now you know quite a bit about our decorating style. Anyways, today, she sat down, maybe it was yesterday, anyways, she sat down to play the keyboard and when she got up, she bumped her head. Actually, I think she was sitting down when she hit her head, and that is what caused the whole ordeal.
I had to rearrange the living room furniture (which is actually our bedroom :-| ) in order that I could move the keyboard out from beneath my drawing table. This took a couple of hours to complete but now, she can sit down and play for a few moments and get up without bopping her head.

Steph and EJ arrived this morning. We took a cab home and then had some NY ghetto-fried chicken. Then bought an Air Conditioner for the front room so that we can handle the abusive heat for the next two months. Then we cleaned up the joint from Wanda’s partying and set up the house to live in once again.

EJ had difficulty in going to sleep last night and woke up a couple times during the night, screaming and crying. I am quite certain that she missed having her Mum there to comfort her, we had to eat ceral and milk in the middle of teh night to get her to go back to sleep. THis morning she woke up and was happy to see everyone around the brekkie table, so it won’t be until much later tonight when she realizes that her mum is not around. I know that she is looking forward to seeing her mum, just as I am.

Today, while I was cleaning the house in order that we could have nice, clean apartment when we get home. When I was scrubbing the bathtub, EJ took all the toilet paper off the roll in order to help me out. Aw! Isn’t she the sweetest!
By the time, I was vacuuming the floor she was thoroughly worn out and was truly frightened once again, thinking that I was going to attack her she backed into a corner and screamed and screamed and screamed. Naturally, that was where I headed next, so there was her little self-fulfilled prophesy for the day. I attacked her with a vacuum cleaner.

EJ just did not want to stay in the house because of the heat, so we had to go outside. We went to the playground and eventually she worked her way into the sprinklers.

Yesterday morning, while Steph was getting ready to go to work, EJ was playing on the floor and I was sleeping, as I do in the mornings. Sometime during this period of time, ELiza-Jane got me keys and began to traipse all over the house with them.
Much later in the day, we were having issues with the Cheerios box. She was unable to manipulate it to do what she wanted, so she would scream and cry and try to get me to fix it for her. I got really tired of this and emptied the bathroom trash into the box, we use the double-wide Cheerios. Then I stomped out of the house to drop the trash down the compactor chute.
When I heard the door slam, I instantly knew that I had a problem.
I did not have my keys to get back inside and EJ was alone. She realized this too, and began to really wail and holler.
After tossing the trash, it is why I left the apartment afterall, I called Steph to see how far away from home she was and squatted down to console Squeaky through the door.
Ten minutes later, Steph arrived with keys and we got back in and soothed our frightened little girl with milk and a hamburger with stinky cheese, she loves stinky cheese. But this morning my keys are still missing.

Tuesday night, I went to soccer practice on the way home I got a flat tire. Today, EJ and I walked to teh gym for my yoga class. Class was very difficult as my whole body was aching and sore, I played goalkeeper for nearly three quarters of an hour. Plus, I sustained big black bruises under teh quick of my big toes so it was difficult for me to do some of teh postures that invovle toe stretches.
MAybe it was because of the added difficulty of yoga while recovering from first practice, or it was just the chef’s good day,; either way the food at the Mexican restaurant the we visit some days was really quite spicy hot. EJ did n’t care about this at all, in fact she ate nearly two whole tamales by herself. Then the little piglet wanted to drink all my lemonade; they make it by squeezing lemons in to water, it’s quite refreshing.
While I painfully trudged home through the park, she fell asleep in the stroller. After we got back tothe house, she woke up and we had UPT (Unstructed Play TIme) on teh bed together before going into the city to meet Mommy. We all got really wet when we came back, as there was ahuge thunderstorm which broke right onto us! What a thrill!

WE have a TODDLER in our house. She is just up and walking about whereever she pleases. If she falls down, she picks herself back up nd continues on her way. Eliza-Jane just goes and goes and goes and goes. She really loves the beaded curtain in front of the bathroom doorway, she will grab a hold of it and sort of surf in place. She also likes to grab onto the kitchen gate and shake it violently.
We are so thrilled at this new development, and so is EJ. LAst night, we all went to a friend’s house for a birthday party and EJ was a huge hit as she toddled all over the place, eating all the grapes and playing with people.
Yup! WE got ourselves a Toddler.

It has been acouple of days, I think, since I last wrote. There has been lots of activity around here. My laptop has begun a slow spiral towards death, teh CD player no longer works in it, so when this final week of class is over, I will embark oin a new project to rebuild my laptop. I’m quite certain Apple did not intend for any of their merchandise to go through this sort of Frankenstein metamorphisis.
So, i mentioned the final week of class, which means final touches on the big writing project and powerpoint presentation that are both due this Sunday at midnight. I hope to heave them complete by Saturday at midnight so that I can relax on Sundy and enough the time between classes, because you know the new clas starts on Monday!
THen as if the week is not busy enough already- Eliza-jane is feeverish and sick. So she and I are staying at home and sleeping alot in our PJs, trying to sweat out this fever. Poor little Bug, just wans to be right next to me so that she will feel better. Hopefully this will pass soon.
