It’s nice to watch someone else enjoy the food you enjoyed making. Don’t bother if you are doing this just to impress others.

just make pasta. seriously, it’s easy and non cookers think you are a fucking genius.
The first time I cooked dinner for someone was right after I was married. I bought a book (the beginning of everything I do!) on 100 ways to cook with ground beef! It was going for $0.49 a lb at the time and that was about right for our budget. I think I probably cooked all 100 meals at one point or another. My favorite was getting creative with meatloaf!
Now my favorite meal to prepare is Thanksgiving dinner.
Deni H is juggling a lot of balls right now.
I love doing it, too. :D
Lasagne is my specialty meal. I also do several different types of soup. The list goes on, but I love cooking.
i got to do this for my boyfriend one night cuz i finally had an apartment on campus and not just a dorm. but i make dinner for my family kinda often anyway.

I love to cook for people, whether it be friends or a romantic interest. It is one of the key ways I can express myself through a safe comforting channel. If I want to offer consolation, then I can make my M&M peppered fudge brownies. If I want to show off my sophisticated side (fledging as it is), I can make my citrus salmon with rosemary rice. If I want to offer a strong shoulder, I can make my simmered pot roast with plenty of tender vegetables and a steaming fresh apple pie for dessert.
I love to try new things and make them my own in the kitchen; I sometimes wish I were as bold in other areas of my life. Lesson to be learned!
You know what, it really is nice to do something so simple, yet so life sustaining. :)~
