Rosafine is waiting for something

Untitled 6 months ago

I haven’t acted in years. I loved it in high school, but I had a very particular drama teacher, who gave the lead roles to the same people every year. Eventually our audiences dwindled, because each year they just saw the same people in different costumes.

The auditions were always the same, it would come down to around three people for the leading girls role, and I was always among them. I would try my very best, give it all I had and then be told that I wasn’t quite right because – get this – because I was too tall. I am tall, 5’11, but I remember how every time it crushed me to know that something I had absolutely no control over was holding me back. I couldn’t understand why he kept letting me get so far if he never had any intention of casting me. In the end I gave up, and I haven’t acted since leaving high school.

So this is on my list – get the lead, and send him a ticket. No letter, no explanation, just so he knows that my height doesn’t limit me!

Duchess Gloriana the 12th! 16 months ago

After being in a couple shows directed by a friend of mine, he called me up and asked me to audition for “The Mouse that Roared”. I auditioned and got the lead women’s role! Yay! That’s never happened to me before! Now I have a buttload of lines to learn. That’s okay, though. This is gonna be a blast. :)

Oh, to be centerstage! 20 months ago

Just once! I know I’m just starting as an actress, but someday, I would LOVE to be considered a leading lady.
