I will most probably move to London in September, 2010 since I applied to 3 universities which are located in the very heart of Britain’s thriving capital.
I’m a bit worried about the financial situation I will find myself in, though… London – as we all know very well – is pretty expensive. However, I think I’ll be able to get through my studies hassle-free by taking up one or even two part-time jobs.

I’m no stranger to London. I’ve spent my holidays there every few years, visiting family. I spend a few days just outside London with friends every year when I’m flying to and from Boston, and can spend my Christmas break there.
I love London and some of the neighbouring towns. Street style tends to be diverse, eye-catching and creative, weather is just perfect (no snow, no extreme coldness or heat most of the time), and people – in my experience – are really open-minded and tolerant. It’s modern but still preserves an old-world charm, making it one of my favourite cities in the world. It’s a place where I can’t imagine getting bored but which is also quaint enough not to overwhelm me.
I’d like to find a way to eventually study or work in or near London for a while.

I will give it a try. It’s something I’ve always been dreaming of and one of my courageous cousins fulfilled and loved it.
I like London, despite its ‘flurry of activity’ and some weird people. And I know, I know, I know…! It might sound a bit ridiculous, maybe even naive…
A 19-year-old adventurous girl, who has just finished her A-Levels, wants to get rid of her boring life in ‘Luxoland’ and spend some time (and all her money) in Great-Britain’s thrilling & hectic capital: London.
Okay, sounds like the plot of an awful teen movie. I agree.
(I purposely left the part out, where she gets raped or stabbed or whatever…).
But heeey… Dreams be dreams!

What is not to love about this busy, beautiful, historic, happening city? The four months I spent here were some of my favorite in college. I could live there for another four decades and not see all it has to offer. I left a piece of myself in Hyde Park.

Well, I’m starting to pack.
I’m really leaving in one week to go to London and to study there. It doesn’t feel real, but everything is paid and booked.
The first really big thing on this list :-)

Ok, I didn’t get the job in London and I’ll have to wait for another year to go there…
But hey… At least I can still do it…
So now for everybody… In Feb 2008 I’m going to London to study there for half a year… And it’s going to be absolutely phenomenal :-)
And hopefully I’ll meet this lovely squirrel again…

I’m tired of feeling bored with my surroundings. I moved to Dublin from a small town just to get away from everyone and now I feel it’s time to move again. I just want to feel completely independent for a little while. I want to make it on my own.
