So theres this boy.... 17 months ago

lol, I love him! My boyfriend is several states away, and so we talk over msn, texting, etc. but usually my week is so hectic, I can only find free time for logging on maybe one day a week, but we make the most out of the weekends.
We can talk for hours, and the minutes and hours just melt away until all of a sudden its 3 am and we’ve been talking for 6 or 7 hours. So one of these days (once its nice out and not below zero!) We’re going to have a date night, and talk all night, maybe watch a movie, and then (even with the time difference) watch the sunrise, maybe we’ll send a pic of the sun coming up to one another, if not oh well, we’ll at least get to watch the sunrise together! :)

It isn't as hard as people think. 20 months ago

I find it easier to stay up all night if I remember that we are all made up of energy. In fact everything we see, hear, taste, smell, and touch is made up of the same energy. Not only do I have energy; I am energy.

When I was in highschool and college I lived by the ocean, and I was a party girl, so many a crazy night ended with a “hey let’s go sit on the beach and watch the sun rise” or a “let’s go to the beach” at 3am that turned into a hey, is that the sun comin’ up?

Surreal... 22 months ago

I say surreal because once you’ve been up all night, your body is really feeling fatigued and your perceptions change. Combine that with the bright light of the sun, and you’ve got yourself a really awesome experience. The pic I posted here was on the Colorado River, which I took after working a long night shift and driving all morning. We launched the boat at dawn and went on our merry way. (Later passed out by about 9 pm.)

If you’re into experiencing different ways of feeling (without drugs), I highly recommend this!

loved it. 2 years ago

I did this last month with my friend cory. We were at a friends house hanging out and realized it was around 4 am, so we said why not stay up & watch the sunrise? We climbed out onto my friends roof around 5:30. It was beautiful. We all huddled out there in our sweatpants and sweatshirts listening to someones ipod and talking while we watched it. I would definitely do it again :]

I couldn’t sleep on the flight back home from my holiay and managed to see the sun rising while we were approaching the UK. It was amazing to see the sky from above the clouds, and the whole skyline looked just like one huge rainbow. Definitely the best place to watch the sun rise!

i did it with my friends twice. it was a different experience than say, with a boyfriend or girlfriend, because we started to get a little loopy closer to sunrise. Definetly still worth it though. I think everyone should do it at least once.
