What I once thought was so uncomfortable is becoming easier and I found I recieve more respect from others.
How I did it: This is an ongoing goal. I am looking people in the eye more but I still catch myself when I am walking down the street looking down to the ground. I just remind myself that I don't have anything to be ashamed of. As long as I am not leering or being rude why should I not look at things and people around me. It helps if you practice while wearing your sunglasses. It gives you a sense of safety. Standing tall and looking around and directly at people makes me feel more confident.

Absolutely wins you points with people, though it may be intimidating to do at first. You are a lot more sincere and make a better connection when you keep eye contact.

I had to start this by looking at myself in the mirror and using positive affirmations daily. It sounds stupid but it worked. I’d such low self esteem I hated what I saw in the mirror. I was a mess. I began to practice this and became more accepting of myself and then other people came to see me as a confident person rather than the mouse I was behaving like when I was too afraid or ashamed to look anyone in the eye.
It was like a miracle. Do It.
