So I am trying to sell something on the stock photo sites first.
I have submitted 4 photos today so I need to see whether any are accepted….no idea how good/bad/suitable they are!

How to have a photo published

 "One of my photographs is published in a book about architecture - how cool!"
How I did it: All I did was take a picture, one of many in fact, and later I was contacted by a person searching for pictures for an upcoming book about architecture. My picture was one of the many hamlets at Blaise Hamlet, and it is credited with my name in the back. My one regret is, despite stating it very plainly, many times, my name is spelt 'Rachel' in the book, and not Rachael, sadly. Lessons & tips: Just keep taking pictures, upload them to Flickr, and enjoy what you're doing, don't take pictures simply because you want them to be published, take pictures just for the fun of it! from the punk show I took ADD boy to. I thought it was very good so I took it down to our local newspaper and showed it to them.
They told me that they had sent a reporter and photographer down to the show but they would like to take a look at the one photo I was talking about because the reporter wrote specifically about the little guy in my photo. They said they most likely did not have enough room for it so “no promises” I’m like, “That’s fine, it’s such a cool pic I just wanted to share it.” I chatted for a while with the entertainment guy (which reminds me I need to call) He is in his 50’s and he was into the punk scene in LA when I was into it in OC. He said he was just listening to his old Beach Blvd. album on vinyl the other day. I told him I used to work at the Slave-On and go to the drive in on Beach Blvd. That was MY stomping ground, back in the day. I never lived more than a block from there for most of my life growing up.
The photo did not show up in that weeks issue but in the following weeks issue :)

I enjoy photography, esp. nature/ wildlife/ flowers, etc. I’d like to have a picture published by something important. I’ve had 2 photos in our local area’s pet calendar they publish each year – nothing big.
