move to the USA

People try everything from letting me make my own decision. Im over it because I make my own decisions.
They tell me that the economy in the States is bad etc etc.
Well…DUH
But this is where I want to be. With my partner so why not!?

I wanna move to the capitalist capital of the world!

I love my hometown, Cape Town, so very much, but I’d love to move to the US temporarily. I wish not to a US citizen in full but partialy since I absolutely love my country, South Africa!

I just believe there are opportunities in the US that I need to take advantage of.

So, my boyfriend is going to study in the US. I’m not going with him, for now, because I study in the other side of the Atlantic! But we’ve been wondering if it could be good for both of us, maybe some three/four years from now, to get a job there in our area (classical musicians!), a house, and just stay, build something from nothing and fight like hell every day, just to be happy, together…
I confess that US has never been my fav place to live, because it all seems such a mess, and so different from what I’ve been used to. But now it doesn’t scare me anymore… Maybe it will be a nice thing… And If we can’t handle it, we can just come back, or go somewhere else, and try to live there. Just find our right spot!

And maybe US is a lot for different for me, but if I don’t try, how can I know that?

I’m glad that I was born in england but I have wanted to live in the us for as long as i can remember. I want to live in as many places, meeting as many amazing people as possible. Some don’t like the place but that’s just because they choose to believe what they hear. Everything is subjective and nobody’s ever going to be perfect.
As soon as i can, that;s where I want to be.

Decided I want to live in USA since I was 16. Through I’m Russia native I realize that USA influenced me more than my own country during my young years, I mean mass media. Also it is rumored to be financially stable, I’m not gonna waste my life as a factory worker for $200/month. Fuck them! Too bad I can’t even participate in Green Card lottery, it’s really hard these days. :( As a previous poster I regret my family hasn’t move there when I was a kid.

omgg i so badly want to move to the usa but im onlly sixteeen and my family would never let me go but i wil go me and my boyfriend well i said to him we we mrried we r soooo goin over therre but u kknow im muslim and my teacher was like they strip search you on the airport that really freaked me out!:S
