All that and I’m still waiting on a response to my job interview. I have to be really careful not to burn out – taking advantage of quiet time whenever possible -, but otherwise I’m loving my life right now. Hope it lasts.
Being a Melbourne Uni Summer School tutor for the past two weeks threw me into momentum. It just finished and I feel fantastic. The next two months should provide more than enough stimulation, what with working part-time and planning/executing my relocation to Sydney. I’m so excited!
I get depressed if I put off things and wallow about. I’m particularly susceptible during holidays. Having plans and doing my best to achieve almost everything I set out to do is the best way for me to stay sane and keep up my motivation. I just need to work a bit more on not getting frustrated if something gets in the way of my plans.
According to the online ebook at http://www.gethappy.net/bookhm.htm, keeping busy is a key to happiness. I’m usually the furthest thing from busy, so I can definitely improve on this.
I barely stop these days. I still need to get a bit more focus so I don’t keep myself busy with the wrong things, but it’s definitely a better way to be.
(Though I am really looking forward to a Quiet Night In later, you have no idea how much…)
As from next week I’ll have a job I’ll be a bit busier. The trick is to not relax too much and make sure I keep on track with all other projects (especially university).
The busier I am, the more I get done. I don’t need to be eliminating “unneccessary” projects from my life, because that makes it easier to elimate or at least postpone the neccessary ones too.
