digitize and organize my music collection

Yay.

When I buy my own house, I’m gonna absolutely wire that place up. Automate everything, have everything digital and accessible from anywhere in the house! To achieve this, I have to digitize not just my music collection, but other things like photos, movies and anything related to multimedia.

Curious!! How big (disk space) does your collection take up?

We’ve now got our iTunes library on a huge external hard drive, and I’m about half-way through digitizing everything… time-consuming! Also annoying is the occasional scratched CD or wonky track that won’t import properly.

If I hadn’t ripped all my cds already, I’d send ‘em off to slimdevices.com and let them rip them into multiple formats and return them to me on DVDs. Cool!
