live in the south of France

I love France and everything French. I grew up speaking French and listening to French music, since my country is part of the Francophonie. I love – and can cook! – French food, know that bistros should not be ridiculously expensive, study French literature – my passion – and fell in love with Paris while I lived, studied and worked there last summer.

I’ve visited Lille in the North and Marseilles, Nice and Cannes in the South. I even love all these different regions, but my preference is definitely for the south. The weather is delicious, the atmosphere is buzzing, the people are beautiful and it’s a place I would easily wake up in with a smile every morning. I want to live there with a friend or lover, write, make music, make love, paint and be happy.

Where’s the best place for your money….and is still beautiful…

Reality check! This may not happen for a while. I’d rather live here and now, moving this to the very back burner. I have to plan this out very carefully too. A target date might be 2012. whew!

I guess it’s time to search for a place around this area. I would love recommendations or suggestions. I have not been there but read quite a bit about it. It would be better if someone out here in ‘43’ lives there and tell me what’s best. I know… i know… I’m slacking at learning the language! I need to get over ‘cava bien!’, but at least I know a few cheese names now… Fromager D’Affinois! at least I won’t get hungry since I know where to get my cheese and bread when I’m there. A little indulgence at the ‘patisserie’ too. Avior!

if you’re not a middle aged middle class woman with the means to just take off to the south – just save up some money and go there on a cheap language course. There are some places that are cheaper than others. Just do it! It was so worth it…

Would like to live in Cote d’Azur (Cannes or nice) would be nice… always sun and nice girls around there… wanna ask for a Mutuo Casa in way to buy one day an hous there…

I think I would stomp grapes if it meant I could live out my life there. Lucy Ball, ya know? It just seems I worry about the most ridiculous things and it obviously gets me nowhere. I strive for simplicity and the South of France (which is where my heritage starts anyway…)

We rented a house in the small village of Aniane for 30 days in the spring of 2005. It was as good - or better - as you imagine it might have been.

Jai habite dans le sud de la France pour six moins. C’etait magnifique. On doit visiter Nice, Aix, Monaco, Cassis, Luberon, et L’Italie (c’est plus proche que Paris). Et… le soleil… tout le temps.

I should have been born there. And if I ever have children they will be born there.
