Joining the gym was the easy part. It’s going that has become the hard part. But I have a get out of jail card. Cause i just
had all my wisdom teeth taken out. I just hope when i recover from that that I do make the commitment and effort to go to the gym.

I printed and filled out the forms (i.e. I don’t have a heart condition, and if I die on the treadmills – very possible, it’s been awhile – I won’t sue). Not difficult at all. Now, will I actually go??

I got a membership back in November. When I started I felt like a slob because I didn’t know where anything was or any of the rules at the gym (things like reserving machines). I finally feel like I know what I am doing and get excited about going :D I recently had to take a few days off because I caught a cold but can’t wait to get back in the next few days. Not nice to go to the gym sick, you feel worse and also spread your germs around and make other people susceptible to what ever you have.

Or should I just run in the cold?
The gym I want to join is in my office and is not open (most) weekends.
Hmmm?

found out that there is a special deal if you sign up before the end of sep you get the first month free, so that only leaves me till teusday.
Yet another reason to join, but i may well just come up with another excuse, lol. we’ll see what happens.

as in less than a month i will be back at uni which seem to be good time to start something new. Also my freinds who are already members are encurraging me to go too, so i think with there support i’ll mot only join the gym but also manage to keep it up regularly. fingers crossed i’ll get off my ass and finally do something!

ardilla may actually graduate this fall
really did the trick for me. I’d always been hesitant to join, in retrospect, because I thought I would be judged unfavorably by the “beautiful people”, but once you’re in there it’s really not bad, and as jaoshel had said some moons ago, everyone is doing their thing. I got a pretty good deal (read: not screwed royally) as an add-on to my girlfriend’s membership, only $25 sign-up fee & $35/mo, no contract, no penalties (or so they said…).
I hope to, at the very least, maintain my weight while my shoulder gets better and I can get back on my bike (had a “little” accident a few weeks ago & separated my left shoulder & road-rashed myself pretty good). So hopefully I’ll keep it up and go frequently—I’ll probably get ridiculously addicted at the beginning as I tend to do with these things, and then level off at a reasonable intensity.
