Lunacera wanting to redesign my life.
I finished two bound books but I’d like to make more. One of my many goals is to use up all the cardboard scraps and transform them into something before the end of this year.
Emily should sleep forever.
I’ve made one book so far and it was extremely rewarding. I bought a book called How to Make Books and it was very fun to follow. It has everything from simple folded books to huge sewn journals.

I saw a lady selling her hand-bound non-adhesive books at the Las Cruces, NM farmer’s market. She had a really nice selection and it seems like it would be an easy thing to sell at craft markets. I was inspired to work more on this project by her artistry and dedication.

I want to set my initial goal to one book, made for my cousin and her two kids, that’s mostly blank but has pictures of her kids scattered throughout. Like diary with inspirational quotes every few pages.
That’s my first project. Let’s see if I can make it happen, I have most of the supplies from an attempt to make books for last years holiday gifts (didn’t happen in the least).
i’m finding that the small goals add up, and if you say things like “i’m going to do one thing per month” it really adds up! so i have a list of friends and family for whom i want to make blank books and give to them, along with handwritten letters (which takes care of another goal here). for this goal, i will make 2 books per month for those people. i would like to try out different bindings as right now, i only know how to do the open cord binding, but in time…
