It is definitely worth doing :) 17 months ago

I have found new muscles I didn’t know I had and it’s very therapeutic. It is also benefiting wildlife and a good way of meeting new people.

I am loving the process of helping build a beautiful nature reserve!!! :) :) :)

I really am ridding myself of my age old habit of thinking about doing things, and never doing them!

I always imagine tasks to be difficult before I start, so often have fear to make the first step. This psychology needs rewiring for me! And that is starting to happen.

It was took me about 2 minutes to start on this goal!

    1) I googled conservation work in my area.
    2) I found a phone number within seconds.
    3) I called up.
    4) They said to email, I did as soon as I got off the phone.

I now await the information pack. It was that easy!

Sometimes the hardest part of a project or task is starting, the rest is just baby steps!

Conversations about conversation :o) 18 months ago

6 people in the last 6 months have all independently said I should do gardening and / or conservation work.

It is a very “grounding” experience which I feel would benefit me and others.

Another win-win situation methinks? Oh yeah! :o)

I volunteered with wildife in Africa, researching predators on a game reserve, best thing I ever did and would absolutely do this again once I save my money:

best experience ever, it was amazing! it was very overpriced so i wouldnt do it again, but at the same time i didnt mind paying it because the research we did was very valuable. we discovered new species, raised local awareness of issues and even did some english teaching in schools! so the money i paid goes back into the organisation for future projects.
