One craft per month 1 month ago

I am refining this goal. I am going to aim to make one thing each month. My first project: a camera mount for my bicycle – similar to what this guy did: http://www.camerahacker.com/build/Bicycle_Camera_Mount.php

i want to be able to eventually do crafty things and make some money with it!

i’m signed up with etsy.com, just need to have something to sell.

The pegboard I hung next to my desk 15 months ago

now holds things that I might actually want to reach. Feeling ambitious one day, I hauled out the plastic pegboard that Tony (my brother) had given to me around a year ago. I cut a piece of rope to a length just over twice the length of the short end of the board. I looped that through the outside pegs, knotted it, and slung it over two unused wall-hooks. A trip to Home Depot yielded a $6 container of assorted peg-hooks. These peg hooks were carefully arranged to hold my keys, wallet, backpack, and various office supplies. Even if this pales in comparison to ReadyMade, I’m proud of it!

i started painting today. it’s going to be a masterpiece.

ReadyMade always catches my eye on magazine stands 19 months ago

and deep down in my being I believe that I have the fundamental skills required for the projects in there. But I never seem to do much. The closest I’ve come is turning my walk-in closet into a personal office space (although mine is far more utilitarian than the concepts presented in ReadyMade #25).

so this whole lanyard business has taken off at moms work. but now my moms being a lanyard nazi… she comes home telling me i NEED to make this and that in this amount of time for this person… i spend almost all my free time trying to keep up… its really not fun anymore which is disappointing

in other crafting news… i have opened my own etsy shop!

www.undeniablyimproper.etsy.com

im trying to craft more things for it
but ive been busy

success! 23 months ago

i have made 10 of those beaded lanyards, my mother bought three, and she took the rest to work today and sold all but one by 12.30… i feel accomplished! = D

progress is being made 23 months ago

so far i have decoupaged two picture frames and one box for christmas presents…

also…
at my mothers place of employment, they are required to wear ID badges… being a workplace of mostly women, they have become addicted to these laynards called boojee beads… i have since gone to walmart and collected the things i need to make my own lanyards and successfully built four of them… if i can sell them for $10 each, not only will it be $5 less than what theyre buying them for… i can also make some money…

oh… and maddox, my cat, has also been “helping” me with my projects…
so thats fun?

X-mas 2 years ago

Sooooo Shery wants to do a make it yourself christmas (again) and I mean you can’t turn down a lady twice right? So I’m making my gifts this year. Super stoked :). Can’t say what I’m making on the doubtful chance someone actually reads this thing.

Ideas oh how exciting 2 years ago

So I do have this one skill that is very neat. I’m really good with hemp. I have a book on macramae and am going to teach myself new knots and see how many strings i can work with at the same time. I very excited. The problem however is that I don’t know what happened to all my hemp and beads.
