A friend and I used to do 1, 3 and 6 month plans and 1 and 5 yr plans. Somehow i’m only doing the one monther because that was a goal other people had on 43things. but looking at my last plans, i will be done with everything by January if I just take the kid to the doc and redo the kitchen by then. I think it’s doable.
updating my list from last month:
Do more work w fella – always continuing, but had a couple of good installments this month, so that is great. And I think we’ll both be inspired to do more based on the success of the last couple of times.
Make plans for front landscaping – we resolved the dying grass problem – fuse for timer was blown. that’s fixed. eventually need to make a plan for the rest of the front yard but don’t care right now.
Take little guy to doc – have not done it. when will i ever do it…
Redo deck – sent the contractor the plan for the deck. haven’t heard back with a quote… may go with someone else. there’s only one guy who seems to call us back when we get in touch with him. probably should just use him.
Now also focusing on kitchen. Need to talk to mother in law about plans. maybe over thanksgiving she’ll come to lowe’s and ikea with us.
Go on date with fella – had doc appt today which he accompanied me to, and we hung out at home after. it was the next best thing to a date. but i think we need to do a legit one sometime soon.
Have a social activity – I still feel somewhat social right now. That is good.

I’m a little behind. Now looking back again:
Do more work w fella – always continuing.
Make plans for front landscaping – did cut down bushes. Now need to see why grass is dying. eventually need to make a plan for the rest of the front yard but not this month.
Take little guy to doc – have not done it.
Redo deck – New door and window are in, so we could do the deck, but now focusing on kitchen.
Go on date with fella – did not do it.
Have a social activity – I feel mildly social right now. That is good.
Figure out financial planning stuff – got life insurance!!!! Go me :) Now maybe to set up trust. 7 months ago

Ok, looking at the things I had down for Aug 1, I have done almost none of them. Eek.
Do more work w fella – have done some, but this is an ongoing thing that will always be on my list.
Make plans for front landscaping – haven’t done anything but open the packaging on the saw that we bought to cut down the big bush in front of our window.
Take little guy to doc – have not done it.
Redo deck – have gotten organized regarding the window and door that have to be replaced before we do the deck. So this is moving along, if slowly. Today I have to sign the paperwork re the window and the door. Those should be done by September 1. Then maybe can do deck by October 1. Sad, because i had thoughts of having a labor day bbq with our new back area set up, but this was not to be.
Go on date with fella – did not do it.
Have a social activity – I had a lot of social activities in July. That was great. We went out to three meals this weekend, all with different friends. The little guy is doing really well at restaurants. The pizza outing on Saturday night was probably a little overwhelmingly exciting, since we went at 8pm (pretty much his bedtime) and we went with his best friend’s family, who are our neighbors. It was so cute to see the two little kids sitting next to each other in the booth eating pizza :)
Figure out financial planning stuff – eh. It’s so boring. Basically i need to get life insurance, but i don’t like having blood drawn, so i am totally postponing it…
So what do I hope to accomplish before September 1? Other than the window and door, I should keep it small. Cut down the bush in front, maybe. That’s about all I can manage at the moment. Ugh. 9 months ago

I’ve been making plans every month, but haven’t been sticking to them! I think maybe because I stopped posting them for others to see. So now I’ll go back to posting the basics here so that I might actually accomplish my plans. So some of my goals for this month of July will be to: Get 10 or more service hours; Throw an awesome surprise anniversary dinner for my best friends; Put at least 5 new pieces of jewelry on Etsy; Clean and organize my room so I can have a productive work and living space. 10 months ago

My one month plan for December will be to get 20 or more hours in service, get at least one dog or horse massage, put a new piece of jewelry on my Facebook and Etsy pages once a day until I run out of new pages, finish knitting the scarf I’m working on and that’s all I can think of right now. 17 months ago

Looking back on this plan I feel like I’ve failed quite a bit… I have less than 10 service hours for the month, I hardly went running at all, I did not start designing my jewelry website, I did not read the bible every day and I will not finish NaNoWriMo with the 50K words.
The only success I’ve had is that I did have two dog massages and I have another one planned for the first week in Dec. I was also moderately successful at the art festival. I didn’t plan on it, but I did quit my job and get a new, better one, so I’m very happy about that! Hopefully I will achieve more in December. 18 months ago

I have a crazy November planned. I’ll be working 40-50 hour weeks at my retail job. Friday the 5th I’m going to my friend’s house for a ‘girl’s night’ which should be awesome. Saturday the 6th I got invited to go to an Art Festival and set up a table to sell me jewelry (for which I am incredible excited!!) Saturday the 19th I have to work at the retail job =(. I just got a phone call to do a dog massage, which will be nice to make some extra $ and I have to call her back and schedule that. The 20th-26th my parents will be out of town, so I expect some late nights hanging out and lots of fun. The 26th I’m going to my friend’s house again for a big football watching party with her and her husband and some other friends. The 24th I have off work, so I’m thinking about maybe driving to Miami beach for a day, not sure yet though. Now that my doctor ok’d it I might start running again too.
Things I definitely want to accomplish this month: over 20 service hours, at least one animal massage, sell a bunch of jewelry at the art festival, run at least every other day, start designing my jewelry website, read the bible every day and complete NaNoWriMo!

Application complete.
And dentist appointment made.
Things are looking up. Just need to figure out how I’m going to justify my absence when I have my interview next week. Told my secretary today I’m “making all my appointments” now, so maybe will say it’s a dentist follow-up or something. But then if I have interview follow-ups I’ll have to come up w more excuses. And since we are also having childcare issues right now I feel like I’m using up all my tokens. Oh well. I’ll figure it out. 20 months ago
