Skateboarding is really difficult. I’ve tried learning before, but i failed miserably. Like, how do people get the board to flip and spin? And what are the basics and how do I learn them?

I know how to push off, go up and down a ramp, and ollie. But i really need help on every thing else.
MistressIbanez is wondering where this will all end up.
My goal isn’t to learn a lot of tricks and show up the kids at school, it’s more of a form of transportation for me. Bikes I can ride, but you can’t carry them around as easily when you’re walking, and the same goes for roller skates. Skateboarding just seemed like the best option.
Are there any laws about skateboarding in public places?
Ezekiel Santillan is at work
My co-worker Adam gave me my firs lesson today after his shift ended. He couldn’t stay too long but for a few minutes he coached me on the basis of skating. To start I had the wrong shoes, apparently if there is any kind of heel on the shoe that will affect your balance(I was wearing dress shoes).
It went well, I didn’t fall on the ground!!!
I was happy. Next week is my second lesson.
I don’t want to be a girl version of tony hawk, or even known as a “skater girl” at school. I just want to be able to ride without hurting myself and have fun. I guess first I need to get a board.
