MedicBarbie is painting my garage door and shutters, STILL.
So worth it… take the train. :P
Not too many people can say they fell asleep in the middle of times square, but I did. :P Too much rum. :)
Slept for an hour, woke up and partied like it was 1999. Because it was! :)

By the way, this is only truly worth it if you’re 21 or older or you can pass for 21 in a bar. Otherwise, its better to spend New Years with friends wherever. You’ll enjoy yourself a lot more

I go up to New York every year because of family, and one year we decided to stay for the Ball Drop. Seriously, not worth it. In order to get a good view, you have to camp out or something. We went a couple hours early, we saw nothing but some dust and confetti because a building was blocking our way. They wouldn’t let up get any closer because every block was sectioned out.
I say, go to NYC on New Years, don’t go see the ball unless you want to wait forever.

Just too expensive, and since hopefully by next year I’ll be living too far away to really make it possible, I’m taking this one off the list.
I’m going to go to First Night in Annapolis instead for New Year’s. $18 for 6 hours of live music, dancing, art, and fireworks.

Pending trip to NYC for New Year’s this year. Big question is finding a hotel room I can afford. If it works, yay, can’t wait.

I heard that New York City is like a playground for drug addicts.
I don’t want to put myself in that situation…

I’m sooo scared of being around all those people, and all those inebriated people! So this would only happen if I was with sober/recovering friends.
But how cool would it be to see the ball drop??
=)

if you’re going to do this, you’ve got to do it right. bring a bunch of people, including your best friends. go see a play on broadway that lets out just before 11pm so you can get a good spot. be smarter than those people that camp out to see the ball drop. if you find a nice policeman he’ll lead you right to the front if you ask ;) worth doing! seriously.
