Last night I made a Spinach Salad. Ingredients: Spinach, egg, bacon, mushrooms and Mozza cheese with a balsamic dressing.
This morning I made an omelet. Ingredients: Spinach, egg, bacon, mushrooms and Mozza cheese. As I was about to put some Ketchup on the omelet it occurred to me that despite the EXACT same ingredients I would not put dressing on my omelet, nor would I put ketchup on my salad.
Half a day later I find that I am wondering how dressing would taste on an omelet. French dressing and ketchup aren’t that different, so perhaps ketchup on a salad might be okay. I is because of exactly these kind of thoughts that my family approaches each meal with a little trepidation. I will try to resist . . .

taco salad tonight! :) I got a lot of compliments from my family! I cooked up some chicken breasts and cut them up into small pieces… cut up tomatoes, orange and yellow bell peppers, onion, black olives, lettuce, and avacado… mixed up a dressing of salsa with sour cream…crushed up some tortilla chips, and heated up some red kidney beans.
Put it together as you like it, and YUM!
I did it!

looking for new recipes that are easy and healthy, so, I decided to narrow it down…this week I will cook a new Mexican recipe. That is do-able.

i live by myself now and i can only cook about 3 or 4 things
ive found myself living off of cheese toasties and soup
this cant be healthy
i need to learn and implement more recipes
i have been doing it, just seems to be taking a while, maybe ill rustle up something new tomorrow…
money is a problem at the moment, cant afford to go shopping for lots of expensive ingredients
also im vegetarian, maybe some kind of roasted vegetable thing…

I guess its something that wont end in a hurry, so i’ll sign it as done. I’m making soups, muffins, seafood, all sorts of yummy stuff, and i’m not about to stop either.
I reccommend this to anyone, you get a great feeling of warm fuzzy when you achieve a yummy meal you cooked yourself. We’ll never have take-away again!!!

I really want to cook more seafood, its something we never had in our house growing up, but my parners family lives on. I’m trying to find something that expands my seafood repitiore beyond tuna and frozen fish.

Same old things, need to expand our repitiore. Have all these cookbooks and recipes on the net. . . and yet keep in the comfort zone of what we’ve (my wife and me)have cooked before.
Tonight we are having Peppercorn Roast cooked in the slow cooker. That’s new! I’m excited. Going to do this more frequently. Release the inner chef. My wife say OMG you are just going to make a big mess. Need some cheers to show her that it will be worth the effort.
