    jenuine HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

    Regrets 4 months ago

I really regret not going to the JM concerts that were in Buffalo. There were 2 of them, the most recent one was in June. Buffalo is 3 hours away from me. Then there was the 1 in Syracuse, an hour away from me, which I didn’t go to because I had a giant research paper due in two days. And then there was even one in Toronto (4 hours away) this past June…didn’t go. Now they are on the west side of the U.S…until they leave the country. I’m so disappointed. Who knows when my next opportunity will be?

    Meeting Andrew 9 months ago

I stood in the hail to meet Andrew and it was the best day of my life. I’ve seen him once and I’m going to go see him again in April.
He is the love love love of my life.

Jack's Mannequin at Summerfest 17 months ago

I saw Jack’s Mannequin live at Summerfest 2008…it was amazing. It’s the fourth time I’ve seen them in concert, and Andrew McMahon still rocks my world. :)

first off, andrew mcmahon is my inspiration. i’ve been a fan of something corporate since 2004, and they were my gateway band. the song “konstantine” is my favorite song of all time. so seeing andrew mcmahon in person at least once was a goal in my life- seeing him in concert and having him be a few feet away from me was just an added bonus.

    bamboozle 2008, day 1.

he held a signing earlier that day, but i didn’t find out about it until 5 minutes before it started. i was upset that i couldn’t meet him because the line was so long, so instead i stood by the tent and watched him sign autographs. the security guard told me to back up, so i took a really small step backwards. i asked her if i could just say something to him, and she said no. i said “fuck it” and called out his name. when he looked at me, i couldn’t think. i managed to stutter out a “thank you” before running away from the security guard, who was yelling at me to come back.

then, when jack’s mannequin performed, i managed to push my way until i was about 3 people from the front. it was the best show of that weekend. andddd! he played “me and the moon”, which is one of my favorite songs from SoCo. i was excited, to say the least.

the next day i couldn’t speak and i was bruised all over, but it was so totally worth it. i want to see them again.

BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE 19 months ago

Saw them last friday in Wilkes Barre, PA. Skipped school and drove 7 hours to get there, but it was so worth it. Hopefully flying to NC to see them again on Warped Tour this summer.

I’ve been to a lot of shows,
and his show was one of the most
    passionate, heartfelt, genuine shows
I’ve ever had the privilege of seeing.
The beginning acts were not very good,
but it just made him seem that much more amazing.
I’d spend so much money to see him perform again.
    Absolutely phenomenal.

    March 1, 2007
The Chance Complex in Poughkeepsie, NY
    West Coast Winter Tour
My first Jacks Mannequin live concert.

Everyone who knows me is aware of how incredibly mad I am about Andrew. Seriously, seriously obsessed. I love that man more than life itself, and respect his music, talent and strengh SO so much. With that being said- when I found out that JM would be appearing just an hour from my house, I bought the tickets two hours later and vowed that I would be there if it was the last thing I did. I’ve been an die-hard fan of Something Corporate for 6 years now, and a Jacks fan since I discovered them through a SoCo news letter I got in my e-mail..on the very first day the new band was announced to the public. Sooo, attending this show was an absoloute must. I’d been waiting for years to see this man grace a room with his songs and love..to change my life. I wouldn’t take no for an answer. Blah blah, this probably sounds so dramatic, but I really don’t care. Yes, I love him THAT much. Despite the snow storm that was supposed to hit the area that night, I went and enjoyed and loved every single second of that show. They played every track from Everything in transit, a cover of Message in a Bottle by the Police, and two SoCo songs- Heroine and She Paints Me Blue. Euphoric. Life changing. I don’t even have the words to describe how amazing it felt to even be in the same room as Andrew. He’s the most genuine, authentic, down to earth, kind-hearted, loving man I’ve ever seen..and I felt especially honoerd to be able to be at the Poughkeepsie show being that Andrew is quite fond of that town. (He even told us how happy he was to be “home” in Poughkeepsie, at the same venue where SoCo played one of their first and most memorable shows). For the next 3 days, my voice was shot from screaming every last word to ever song, and my arms were bruised from being shoved against a railing for the straight hour that they played. Being hurt never ever felt so good.

I didn’t get to meet him (at least not this time) because the meet and greet was held way earlier in the day when I had school, and after the show, he was rushed right onto the bus. Maybe next time. Definately next time.

I took SO many photos, but here’s one of my favorites.
