Worth doing!
I am not the greatest photographer in the world. But I like taking photos for my own enjoyment. <3
I plan to continue and get better each time I pick up my camera.

DivsSA is back on 43 things... :)
I haven’t taken as many pics as I used to. Guess the craze died down and it wasn’t as much fun as before.
But taking pics is a passion, and under every passion are flames burning bright.
Guess I need to add some coal to that fire and take some smoking hot pics hey :)

My favourite. My aunty gave her to me – she was her favourite too.

This is very important to me.
Recently I have been through a tough time with somebody close to my heart, and I found that having photos of happy times in my life helped me to forget about him.
I also found the fact that I had no photos of the times we shared very sad, and felt that without a photograph, their memory would fade far easier.
Whether in this case that is a bad thing, I’m not sure – but in most cases I am certain I would like to keep these memories.

so ive been taking alot of pictures this summer, i cleared my camera twice. it holds 350 something pictures.
Worth doing!
i posted this as one of my 43 things because i had a digital camera (not a really good one, just an average joe camera) that i wanted to use more- and learn how to use, since i really didn’t know more than how to point it and push the button (and pray it would turn out!) i was the very basic of beginners!
so, finally- on my birthday this year, i started a group on Flickr.com. I invited everyone on my friends list (from another online community) to join me in taking “A Pic A Day” for one year.
the project’s in its 4th month, and there are 6 regulars and several who come and go as they are able. Our photo pool currently has 1,500 pics in it!
it’s been the most fun and inspiring thing i’ve done for years! i get outside more (i’ve become fascinated with taking pics of flowers and bugs. this means i got to the park more, or get out to take walks, or just putter around hunting in my garden, which i planted specifically so i’d have something to take pictures of! LOL! so now i’m GARDENING, as well!) and i literally see the entire world from another perspective- what it will look like in a photo. “Oh wow! THAT would make a GREAT shot!” this means i’m constantly NOTICING details and elements of the world around me that before i would have simply walked right past and missed. it’s made me a thousand times more observant.
another thing- i’ve become active in the Flickr community, and met many people with interests in—guess what? FLOWERS and BUGS! lol!!
cameras and photography. wonderful things!
Every picture I have I love.
After all each picture is worth a thousand words- and I think some are worth a million.
I want to catch every moment I can in pictures.
So I can tell them to others and not forget a simgle word in their stories.

I took a bunch of pictures on my trip to the Sequoia National Monument this last weekend.
I want to take more pictures to document life in general and not just special occasions. I need to get my own digital camera because my son doesn’t share his!
